Home Plots

Use daily resident requests to raise your D.G. level, save gold for each plot, and grow from 2 plots to 8 with a layout that stays easy to use.

Updated: 2026-05-13

Quick Answer

You start with 2 home plots. More plots unlock when your D.G. Member level goes up. The first big goal is D.G. Level 4, because it lets you grow from 2 plots to 4.

The largest home has 8 plots, unlocked at D.G. Level 14. Unlocking a plot does not buy it for you. After a plot unlocks, you still need enough gold to purchase it.

Start

2 plots

Your first home has enough room for a small house, a little yard, and starter storage.

First Goal

4 plots at D.G. Level 4

This is the best early milestone. A 2-by-2 block is easy to decorate and easy to walk through.

Max

8 plots at D.G. Level 14

The full home gives room for a main house, garden, workshop, paths, and guest areas.

Clean Expansion Plan

From 2 Plots To 8 Plots

  1. 1
    Start

Use the first 2 plots well

Set up a small home base before buying more land.

    • Keep storage easy to reach.
    • Leave one side open for future expansion.
    • Avoid filling every tile with decor on day one.
  2. 4
    First expansion

    Reach D.G. Level 4

Buy the two nearby plots and make a simple 2-by-2 block.

    • Complete 5 Daily Resident Requests each day.
    • Save about 1,000-1,500 gold before cosmetics.
    • Buy side plots before diagonal plots.
  3. 6-8
    Middle

Add plot 5 and plot 6

Turn the 2-by-2 base into a rectangle or a planned L-shape.

    • Put storage, crafting, and cooking close together.
    • Use the extra space for a garden or workshop row.
  4. 11-14
    Full home

    Finish the 8-plot layout

Use the final plots for beauty, guest space, or large outdoor zones.

    • Fill awkward gaps before stretching far away.
    • Keep paths clear so the home still feels quick to use.

3-4 Day Route To 4 Plots

The quickest early route is simple: do all 5 Daily Resident Requests each day and save the gold for the first plot purchase.

First Expansion Checklist

  • Open Watch, then D.G. Member's Guild, then the Request Board.
  • Accept all 5 Daily Resident Requests after the 6:00 AM server reset.
  • Keep common request items ready: wheat, tomatoes, basic fish, eggs, and milk.
  • Use a request refresh for a task that needs rare items, if your version allows it.
  • Turn in finished requests before the next reset.
  • Save 1,000-1,500 gold before buying outfits or extra decor.
  • Buy the two new plots as soon as D.G. Level 4 and your gold allow it.

If you miss a day, do not panic. Your first expansion usually moves one day later. That is annoying, but it is not a disaster.

How To Buy A Plot

The usual route is through your home edit tools:

  1. Open the Watch menu.
  2. Go to Home.
  3. Enter Edit Mode.
  4. Look for the plus icon on an empty plot.
  5. Choose the plot and pay gold.
  6. Confirm the purchase.

Some versions also show plot buying through the D.G. Member’s Guild plot tab. If your menu has that tab, you can use it to view available plots and pick a purchasable one.

After purchase, the new plot becomes part of your home area right away.

Which Plots To Buy First

Best first buy

Plots beside your starter area

Side plots make a clean 2-by-2 shape. It is the easiest layout for new players.

Good next step

Extend into 2-by-3

Plot 5 or 6 can turn your home into a rectangle that works well for gardens and workshop rows.

Later

Corners and show areas

Use plots 7 and 8 for a guest house, entrance garden, courtyard, or big decorative build.

Avoid buying diagonal plots first. They create awkward gaps and make paths harder to connect.

Layout Shapes

Each plot is about an 8-by-5 tile rectangle. Think of each plot as one room, yard, garden, workshop, or show area. This makes expansion much easier.

ShapeBest ForNotes
2-by-2 squareFirst 4 plotsBest beginner shape. Compact, neat, and easy to cross.
2-by-3 rectangle5 or 6 plotsGood for long houses, garden rows, and workshop zones.
2-by-4 rectangleFull 8 plotsStrong all-around layout for one big home plus outdoor space.
L-shapeEarly style buildsNice if you want one corner open for a garden or entrance.
U-shapeDecorative buildsGood for a courtyard, but plan paths before decorating.
Long lineNarrow estatesUse only if you really like that shape, because walking takes longer.

Plot Planning Tips

Before A Big Layout Change

  • Save a screenshot so you can rebuild a layout you liked.
  • Draw the final 8-plot shape before buying plot 3.
  • Lay paths before tiny decorations.
  • Keep one edge open for future expansion.
  • Place storage near crafting and cooking.
  • Give each plot one clear job, such as house, garden, workshop, or guest space.

Do not try to make every plot perfect immediately. A home that is easy to use every day is better than a beautiful maze.

Common Questions

How many plots can I own?

You can own up to 8 home plots.

What is the most important early plot goal?

Reach 4 plots. It gives enough room for a real starter home, a small garden, and a work area.

Should I buy every plot right away?

Buy plots when you have enough gold after basic needs. More space is useful, but empty space does not help unless you have a plan.

What should my first extra plot be used for?

Use it for storage, crafting, cooking, or a small garden. These help every day.

Why can I see a plot but not buy it?

You may be missing the required D.G. level, or you may not have enough gold. Check both before trying again.

When do Daily Resident Requests reset?

Daily requests reset at 6:00 AM server time.
